SIREDGARCARPENTER es un proyecto que comenzó en el año 2008 como un juego, sin muchas ambiciones de convertirse en un estilo de vida o un pseudónimo común de Edgar A. Lázaro Martínez, o sea yo, nacido en Ciudad de México en 1994, estudiante de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UNAM, en la carrera de Letras Hispánicas.

Mis influencias musicales primarias fueron el album "Electronic Sound" de George Harrison, la infame pieza "Revolution 9" de los Beatles, y el trabajo vanguardista de Yoko Ono, Karlheinz Stockhausen y Frank Zappa, entre otros. Antes de dedicarme a producir música noise, mis primeros pasos fueron haciendo largas improvisaciones de instrumentos MIDI con el software GarageBand, tras lo cuál comencé a implementar otras técnicas y medios para producir material de mayor consistencia y rigidez sónica, incluyendo voces, objetos cotidianos, batería, feedback, sonidos registrados del ambiente, entre otros. Básicamente, cualquier fuente de sonido que pudiera procesar a través de medios digitales en tiempo real. Desde 2010 hasta 2019 publiqué poco más de 30 discos bajo este pseudónimo con varias netlabel alrededor del mundo, así como mi propia distribuidora independiente Scriptsound Recordings. A inicios de 2020, tomé la decisión de retirarme del género de la música experimental para concentrarme en la producción de música más accesible, en el estilo rock y pop, programada e interpretada mayoritariamente con tecnologías MIDI. Sin embargo, contemplo publicar más discos de naturaleza experimental en el futuro, pero con un enfoque distinto al que manejé durante los últimos diez años.

SIREDGARCARPENTER is a project that began in 2008 as a game, without many ambitions to become a lifestyle or a common pseudonym of Edgar A. Lázaro Martínez, that is, I, born in Mexico City in 1994, student of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UNAM, in the career of Hispanic Letters.

My primary musical influences were George Harrison's "Electronic Sound" album, the infamous Beatles piece "Revolution 9," and the avant-garde work of Yoko Ono, Karlheinz Stockhausen, and Frank Zappa, among others. Before dedicating myself to producing noise music, my first steps were doing long improvisations of MIDI instruments with GarageBand software, after which I began to implement other techniques and means to produce material of greater sonic consistency and rigidity, including vocals, everyday objects, drums , feedback, recorded sounds of the environment, among others. Basically any sound source that could process through digital media in real time. From 2010 to 2019 I released just over 30 albums under this pseudonym with various netlabels around the world, as well as my own independent distributor Scriptsound Recordings. At the beginning of 2020, I made the decision to withdraw from the genre of experimental music to focus on the production of more accessible music, in the rock and pop style, programmed and performed mostly with MIDI technologies. However, I do plan to release more albums of an experimental nature in the future, but with a different approach than what I have handled for the last ten years.
