Black Dawn At The Northern Lands
Released january 23rd, 2012
On August 25, 2011, members of criminal organization Los Zetas attacked casino in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Several well-armed gunmen arrived at the entrance of Casino Royale and quietly stormed the casino's main entrance, opened fire at a few gamblers and guests, and then doused the casino entrances with gasoline and started a fire that trapped the people inside. 52 people died that day, many of them were women, one of them was pregnant. Apart from declaring "three days of mourning" and a brief investigation, no further justice was made for the innocent killed. Worst thing is, this kind of incidents are pretty common in México nowadays due to the worthless Mexican Drug War started by Felipe Calderón Hinojosa, and the deals made between Mexican Government and drug traffickers. This infuriated me enough to record an entire album dedicated to the victims and for those who live in fear and anger in this country, as I do.
