A finales de 2010, tenía en mente la creación de un proyecto muy ambicioso llamado THE LOST SYMPHONIES, que estaba destinado a ser un lanzamiento tipo "boxset virtual" para Father, Forgive Me Records, y contendría grabaciones musicales que hice antes de la creación de siredgarcarpenter, entre los años 2008 y 2009. Mientras estaba en el proceso de remasterizar las viejas grabaciones para ese proyecto, realicé algunas experimentaciones con ellas usando las técnicas de producción que ya había adquirido para ese punto, y el resultado de ello fueron este pequeño EP y el siguiente álbum de estudio LIGHTS AND SHADOWS. Originalmente había planeado BROKEN UNIVERSES como un lanzamiento para FFM Records también, pero justo por esas fechas fui notificado de que el sello dejaría de operar, así que decidí editar este EP con otro sello de mi creación, Statika Records, dedicado especialmente para trabajos más agresivos. Statika Records no duró mucho, pues eventualmente decidí continuar trabajando únicamente con mi sello principal Scriptsound Recordings.

At the end of 2010, I had in mind the creation of a very ambitious project called THE LOST SYMPHONIES, which was intended to be a "virtual boxset" release for Father, Forgive Me Records, and would contain musical recordings that I made before the creation of siredgarcarpenter, between the years 2008 and 2009. While I was in the process of remastering the old recordings for that project, I did some experimentation with them using the production techniques that I had already acquired by that point, and the result was this little EP and the next studio album LIGHTS AND SHADOWS. I had originally planned BROKEN UNIVERSES as a release for FFM Records as well, but just around that time I was notified that the label would cease to operate, so I decided to release this EP with another label of my creation, Statika Records, dedicated especially to more aggressive works. Statika Records didn't last long as I eventually decided to continue working solely with my main label Scriptsound Recordings.
