Deep Into The Northwest Forest: A Noise Tribute To Gravity Falls

DEEP INTO THE NORTHWEST FOREST wasn't planned at first. Indeed, after my desire to move on different projects (as MYWRONGNOTE, which 2016 album, THE FREAK IN THE SCENE, is my favorite album ever recorded) I seriously doubt if I was going to continue as Sir Edgar Carpenter. However, when I saw Alex Hirsch's animated series "Gravity Falls" for the first time, I knew inmediately that I should put back the Killing Cartoon Society in action.

DEEP INTO THE NORTHWEST FOREST puts the "art is endlessly derivative" concept in a high status, and was the first volume of the saga I recorded using granular synthesis (a production techinque I first worked on MODULATION GENESIS). Also, despite the traditional "a noise tribute" subtitle, this would easily be the least noisy release of all saga, but at the same time I consider it the best produced, in the same stripped down style as LOOPTRONICA, but more closely related to IMAGINE ME due to the bigger influence of Brad Breeck's original score. It is also the first time I release each disc of the standard release as an individual product, at suggestion of Zenapolae's netlabel.

Includes samples interpolations from Brad Breeck's Gravity Falls Score as well as dialogues from the TV series's Latin Spanish dub.

Includes royalty-free field recordings.

All other non sampled sounds and instruments were produced, arranged, composed, de-composed and performed by SIREDGARCARPENTER.

Recorded at various locations, september 2016 - july 2017.

Final mixing and edition made in Heaven & Hell Works, august 12th 2017.
