DEEP INTO THE NORTHWEST FOREST: A NOISE TRIBUTE TO GRAVITY FALLS is finally released!
SIREDGARCARPENTER returns after a long time to present DEEP INTO THE NORTHWEST FOREST, the fifth (and possible final) installment of the infamous Killing Cartoon Society's saga, along with a renewed website and further changes on his production style.
DEEP INTO THE NORTHWEST FOREST is a double-disc album, such as his previous KCS release, IMAGINE ME. However, Edgar confirmed that multiple editions of the album are being developed, including separating both discs for individual release. "I want to cover up all possible fields to make my music more accesible as possible". Following the preview of 3 tracks from the albums via SoundClouds in the past two months, we could hear a few changes on Edgar's production style, more prominently, reducing his Vocal Synthesizers and giving more leadership to granular synthesis. We also heard more random editing and backmasking, which is logical considering GRAVITY FALLS, the animated series in which the album is based on, has multiple hidden messages and clues. Despite the traditional "A Noise Tribute..." moniker, DEEP INTO THE NORTHWEST FOREST has a more melodic and orchestrated appeal. Maybe Edgar is being inspired in the personal artistic success he has experimented since the recording of his MYWRONGNOTE's "THE FREAK IN THE SCENE" album.
DEEP INTO THE NORTHWEST FOREST has been released today by Edgar's own net label SCRIPTSOUND RECORDINGS, although it has been confirmed to be released also by ACS Noiselabel and Sonido Cuantico Records, both netlabels Edgar have been working in the past. Also, and as for the first time in SIREDGARCARPENTER's career, individual releases of each disc (containing alternate artworks and bonus tracks) will be released anytime on Zenapolae (first Mabel's Side), and formerly Oracle Music, Collant Noir Releases (second Dipper's Side).
At the moment, details about the traditional Companion Release are unknown.
